We All Scream for Ice Cream

Tuesday, June 23, 2015

Ice Cream Sandwiches
Paper Cups
Lemonade Packages
Paper Straws
Mini Scoop
*throw in some fun party must haves

Assemble + surprise!

Seriously, can you believe that it's nearly 98 degree here? I mean okay, well except for you crazies who live in the "hot climates" that reach 115 degrees on a regular basis. But Iowa summers, are like 90% humidity mixed with 98 degrees, it's like you walk outside a suffocate from the smeltering heat.
So in lieu of a little hot summer loving here a little box to put of ice cream treats to cool off from those hot summer days. Ice cream sandwiches + sprinkles + cups with little packages of lemonade, the perfect summery box!

We're having a baby!

Friday, June 19, 2015

Um, I think I missed this post? Maybe, but I'm sure you've seen on instagram...
WE'RE HAVING A BABY! Yes, A tiny little baby will be joining our family come November!
And we are so excited! Like 9 out of 10 of our conversations are about this baby, "who's the baby going to look like?" "Will it be a boy or girl" "I wonder if the baby will like this.." Seriously we do a lot of baby talk around this house! So I guess you could say we're excited.

But I do have to apologize for my lack of blogging DIY love, around here.
Because I wasn't quite feeling myself, and I kept wondering, will I ever love DIY'ing again? The answer is YES, I'm BACK in full force. This baby is doing good, I'm doing good, & I've felt the tiniest movements this week, it's be absolutely incredible. Last night I was laying in bed, after my ice cream sandwich treat, horrible, let's just not tell my doctor that. And this baby was moving like crazy, I was at home alone and all I could do was just laugh. Laugh but be so absolutely in love at the same time. So I'll be sharing some room inspo./ room progress ect., but don't worry the DIY's at here to stay. And since my sister is also expecting in October, we're throwing on heck of a combined baby shower so I'll be sharing that goodness to!

p.s. I shared more of these announcement photos we took over at Moms Best.

DIY Magnet Letters.

Thursday, June 18, 2015

I hate when those pinterest projects just REALLY speak to you.... don't you?
Gosh, this one by Sarah Hearts I just loved, so as per my usual self I get on amazon, order the letters, read the tutorial, grab some paint, and dipped my little heart out!

But seriously if you're needing some magnet letters for your fridge his is easy DIY, plus I mean seriously can we just talk about how darling they are? Get rid of the nasty primary letters, and make these instead, they are no doubt the best accent for your fridge + your little ones can play with them.

Let you heart get paint happy, and just make these!

It's Friday! or Fri(YAY), personally I'll go with yay, because I live for the weekends!
So I'm prepping for a little cute summer octopus party! And I mean come on how darling is that ocotpus chandelier? BIG heart eyes for that bad boy! You can pick yours up here, but this would be darling in a playroom, nursery, so you get the point.

Here's a little sneak peak of what in store for this party. Stay tune to see the final party reveal over at Mom's Best! And hello, always get you're summer party on!

Happy Friday & get inspired to throw you're own kick off to summer party!

Guess what?!
I'm back, seriously sorry for the dry spell. So much going on + my energy level hit rock bottom,
but I'm rocking the second trimester like a total boss, okay, I'm kidding but I'm so glad that my energy is back in full force. Instead of crafting & creating I've been un-hoarding my house and we've been quickly trying to finish our house remodel.....and by that last sentence I completely mean my husband has been doing all the work. Aside for the series of excesses, the point is I'm back for a while, and I'm sticking around.

What a better way to kick off the summer, or just being back, than an ALOHA box?
Filled with mini pineapple donuts, a pineapple party hat, and some other fun party treats. You can make this for your neighbors or kiddos in just minutes. I picked up a bag of mini donuts from the store, dunked them in some vanilla food colored frosting, adding some pipping, cut some paper tops, and that was it. I hit up my craft closet to fill the rest of the box with goodies, if you're just a donut person just stick with the chocolate covered mini pineapple donuts!

Aloha friends, it's good to be back! Happy pineapple donut making!
