ALOHA!

ALOHA!
Guess what?!
I'm back, seriously sorry for the dry spell. So much going on + my energy level hit rock bottom,
but I'm rocking the second trimester like a total boss, okay, I'm kidding but I'm so glad that my energy is back in full force. Instead of crafting & creating I've been un-hoarding my house and we've been quickly trying to finish our house remodel.....and by that last sentence I completely mean my husband has been doing all the work. Aside for the series of excesses, the point is I'm back for a while, and I'm sticking around.
What a better way to kick off the summer, or just being back, than an ALOHA box?
Filled with mini pineapple donuts, a pineapple party hat, and some other fun party treats. You can make this for your neighbors or kiddos in just minutes. I picked up a bag of mini donuts from the store, dunked them in some vanilla food colored frosting, adding some pipping, cut some paper tops, and that was it. I hit up my craft closet to fill the rest of the box with goodies, if you're just a donut person just stick with the chocolate covered mini pineapple donuts!
Aloha friends, it's good to be back! Happy pineapple donut making!

Don't worry its Monday & We're alive.
Monday, February 16, 2015
Hey, no need to worry, we're still alive after a seriously case of the stomach flu
Nothing says Valentines day like puking your guts up right? Wrong, I tried quarantining my self but, lets just say that didn't work, but guess what.... it's Monday and we're feeling good! The house is bleached- top to bottom- 2 cans of Lysol 1/2 bottle of bleach, and a container of Clorox wipes down. But good news since my house is sterilized that means you can come over, its 99.9% germ free. So before the illness struck, I managed to make pull off a partial DIY, that totally counts right? But don't worry the rest is coming, promise!
So here it is...
DIY gold spray paint animals.
Supplies:
Plastic Animals (dollar tree)
Rustoleums Metallic Gold
Lets be honest, you can prime these but if your in a hurry or its super cold outside, just skip it, go straight for the gold. The Rustoleum covers REALLY well, sometimes just 1 coat or some cases 2. Let these babes dry and you're good! Stay tune for part 2 it's worth it, wink wink!
These would be super adorable for a shower just painted, or wait till you see what I have in store!

Also those mini heart teaspoons, so perfect in every single way! I'm sharing the DIY on how to create this over at Mom's Best Network, but seriously stay tuned, I revamped these babies and there coming up in a darling Valentines themed kids party!

Guess what? Yes, you guessed right this Saturday is Valentines Day!
So in lieu of a little Valentines these are perfect for friends or neighbor treats.
Hello Tosha designed these super darling tags for the Alison Show meanwhile, I wish that I could decorate those super duper cute peach cookies, I had to come back down here to earth, so instead I put together these cute little baskets with peach jam + homemade sweet biscuits.
It would be super cute to put just some fresh peaches from the store in this little baskets
If you are in a hurry! But if you can believe it or not, living in a small town of 5,000 we only have one grocery store, and that grocery store just happens to not have any peaches, go figure,
but plenty of pears, lots of pears, but no peaches, so I had to make shift with this!
Happy Valentines!

Wednesday, January 28, 2015
So you guys know my husband right? Maybe not, but let me give you a shortened version.
He's the sweetest-most kind hearted-smartest-harworking-man, I know. But let's be honest he's like a little boy stuck in a 24 year-old-body. He has the heart the size of the moon but the man, he keeps, me on my toes, whenever we go shopping it's straight up like (puppy-eyes and all...) "can I pick a treat for being a good husband?" I mean seriously, I laugh, how can I say No, I don't. His ideas of a "treat" is a new tool, which is easy enough, he always wins, I always cave.
When we go get frozen yogurt at date night, I'm getting the cheesecake with the strawberries and graham crackers, and I'll look over and there he is, with the biggest bowl in the yogurt shop loading up on "cotton candy" flavored frozen ice cream, with sprinkles, gummy worms, and maybe the occasional sour patch kid. HE IS, the very reason why we stay young heart-ed in our relationship.
8 years of dating, almost 3 years of marriage, and this man still surprises me! I'm so thankful for his child like heart, most days. So today I put a box of goodies together for him, all his favorites, snickers, hubba bubba, cotton candy flavored hard candies. I put this little box by his night stand for a surprise when he get home tonight. I just lined the inside of a box leftover from something I ordered, lined the inside with polka-dot paper I had laying around, threw some tissue paper at the bottom. This would be super easy to create with your husband or significant others favorite treats or candies!
HEY THERE, PARTY ANIMAL WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?
Tuesday, January 27, 2015
I'm sharing these "party animals" over at Mom's Best today,
Seriously this little minis were so fun to make they would be fun to make them with your kiddos or for your kiddos! I just took gold spray paint to plastic animals, added a mini paper "party" hat to each one, put a little tag on them and done! Super fun, you can read more here.
Plus did I mention that you can download the tag over there? Yup, party animals tags!
Do you have any fun crafts planned for your kiddos for valentines day? I so miss making little valentines boxes at school! By far my favorite thing to make when I was a kid.
Happy crafting + DIY'ing!
YOU ARE MY STUD MUFFIN.
Saturday, January 24, 2015
So you know how I mentioned I always some how forget to make my husband treats for Valentine's Day? Guess what? Not this year, like every day, ok just the last 3 days I've surprised him with some treats, maybe a little year, but heck WHY not surprise him every once in a while until Valentines?
I picked up some baked muffins from the grocery store, placed with in a clear cupcake container, printed this tag (added some gold foil to the edges), through some confetti on his nightstand, and a little breakfast surprise, I swear best way to a mans heart is by giving him food treats, right?
Supplies:
Muffins
Confetti (always optional)
Print, Foil the edges, Assemble, now SURPRISE!
