today we're throwing this baby its first party.

& I made this sweet little topper for this babes first cake!

I purchases the deer from Sweet Estelle on etsy & than painted them lime & pink

we're thinking my sister may be doomed to just girls.. we'll find out!

BABY ITS COLD OUTSIDE

I need all these winter staples.

including those glossy red hunter boots. 

 because suddenly winter hit iowa here last week & boy

 was it a harsh reality.... 

I think i'll be adding those boots, scarf, & mittens 

to closet this year

AND THAN I GOT CARRIED AWAY...

   

  

and than I proceded to the basement where I thought in my head,
"yeah every room should be decorated for Christmas" that way it's really cheerful,
and than i proceeded downstairs, where we just recently remodeled & finally bought furniture.
so maybe I got carried away but it's christmas & everyone just loves this time of year....
the last picture on the right is a finished photo of our finished board & batten,

it was pretty scary & sad down there in the basement but it's starting to come together

CHRISTMAS CHEER

I've started decorating for christmas, 

I know, I know, it not suppose to happen till after Thanksgiving

but I absolutely can not help my self... goodbye pumpkin & welcome christmas

Yesterday my nieces helped me decorate the tree & they are good helpers, 

Their little Christmas spirit is just what we needed around here.

& than the night ended a dinner date with the hubs, buying & installing new blinds,

and hanging fresh green garland around the house.

DIY Christmas Box

I've started getting my christmas craft on..

Somehow I just cant help my self around Christmas time.

Here's what you need to create this christmas goodies box:

an old index card box (I found mine at a thrift store)

Little deer + gold spray paint - $3.99

Little bottle brush trees - $1.99

I painted by box white.

Than painted my deer gold

& painted my tree a blue color.

Than glue doted my figurines on top.

If you have kids it would be cute to put a new goodie in the christmas box

everyday & have them open the box everyday for a surprise!
